Using the Microscope for Evaluating Process

A phase-contrast microscope is one of the most important tools in the operator process control tool box. This workshop is designed to review proper operation of the microscope followed by proper floc sizing and interpretation, classifying protozoa, filament abundance, filament identification and identifying some other organisms encountered in activated sludge and aerated stabilization lagoons. The microbiology will be related to process operations Samples brought to class will be viewed and evaluated by the class.

Workshop Topics:

Registration Fee: $1000 USD. Class size is limited to 20 so each attendee works individually with a microscope.
